Solar panel installation
A solar system should fit your roof, your electricity use and your budget. We survey the property, design the system, and fit it from start to finish. We also handle the scaffolding, the network operator and the planning checks.

Equipment we fit
We are accredited by SolarEdge, Growatt, Lux Power, Pylontech, Solis and Fox ESS. We choose the inverter and battery that suit your home, and we explain the choice in your quote.
MCS certified installation
JBV Homes is MCS certified. When we finish, you receive an MCS certificate for your system. Energy suppliers usually ask for this certificate before they pay you for exported electricity under the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG).
Paperwork we deal with
DNO notification. Every grid-connected system must be reported to your Distribution Network Operator (DNO). Smaller systems are notified after installation. Larger systems, or systems with a large battery, need approval before installation. We find out which rule applies and do the paperwork.
Planning permission. Most rooftop solar on houses does not need planning permission. Listed buildings, conservation areas and flats can be different, and the rules vary between England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We check before work starts.

Questions
Can you add a battery later?
Yes. We can design the system so a battery can be added later, or fit one now. See Battery storage.
What if my roof needs work first?
Our property team can seal the roof or deal with damp and rafter problems before the panels go on. See Roof sealant and Raft and damp treatment.
Can I cancel after I sign?
If you order away from our office, you have 14 days to cancel. If work has started at your request, we may deduct the cost of work already done. Read our Terms and Conditions of Supply.
