Solar maintenance plans

Solar systems have few moving parts, but they still wear. Connectors loosen, inverters log faults, batteries age and dirt builds up. A maintenance plan gives your system regular checks, so small problems do not turn into lost power.

What a maintenance visit includes

  • A check of the inverter, its error log and its settings
  • Battery health and charge settings, where a battery is fitted
  • Isolators, connectors, cables and the consumer unit connection
  • A visual check of the panels and the mounting
  • A review of the system's output against what it should produce
  • Monitoring and app connection
  • A written report after each visit

Panel cleaning can be added to any plan. See Solar panel cleaning.

Choose your plan length

You choose how many years the plan runs when you order. The length is written on your order form. We agree the visit schedule with you before the plan starts.

Who can have a plan

Any home with a system we can service. That includes systems we installed and systems from other installers that use equipment we are accredited for: SolarEdge, Growatt, Lux Power, Pylontech, Solis and Fox ESS.

Questions

Do I need a plan if my system is new?

A new system is less likely to fail, but the first checks set a record of how it performs. That makes later faults easier to spot.

What happens if a visit finds a fault?

We tell you what we found and what the repair involves before we do the work.
